Every year you simply must make your way to Prescott, Arizona for the fabulous Folk Music Festival. You can enjoy the musicians as well as many other activities, a true fest with all kinds of fun. There is nothing as entertaining as coming to Prescott for this annual festival.

In 2016 we celebrate the 38th Annual Folk Music Festival at Sharlot Hall Museum. This is Arizona's longest-running folk music festival and features musicians performing on four stages. This premier event includes educational and informative workshops on musical history, musical styles and iconic musicians.
There are plenty of opportunities to jam on our beautiful grounds - the porch on the historic Territorial Governor's Mansion has proven to be a popular venue year after year. If you are a musician, be sure to bring your instrument - all levels are welcome.
Throughout the two-day event, workshops on a wide range of musical subjects will be conducted by the performers and group members.

Overview: Every October Prescott has its annual Folk Music Festival, bringing people from all over Arizona for fun and music of all kinds. You'll see fiddlers, storytellers, songwriters, and more. There will be a big barn dance on Saturday night and a yummy BBQ.

Details: Listen to the banjos, watch musicians jam together on certain themes, and take part in a sing-along. Watch the dancers and get up there yourself! Do clogging, contra dancing, or flamenco. You can also take part in some of the workshops presented for the public. Learn instrumental styles, and get into singer and songwriter sessions.
If you don't have an instrument now, you may walk off with one at the musical instrument swap meet. On the last day in the morning, there will also be country gospel singing. So make your way to Sharlot Hall Museum in October and get busy having lots of fun!
